Art Deco meets sensual femininity: In my paintings, wine enjoyment and feminine art merge into a stylish homage to joie de vivre and inner depth. Women with a glass of wine – elegant, proud, thoughtful – are symbols of self-connection for me. Discover how pleasure becomes emotional art in my Art Deco female portraits.
Wine is more than a drink. In my art, it becomes a metaphor – for depth, truth, femininity. Wine enjoyment in art means celebrating a moment of stillness for me, feeling the magic of sensuality and savoring life with all senses. Whether it's a ruby red glass of red wine, a feminine silhouette in the evening light, or the interplay of light and emotion – my wine paintings in Art Deco style make pleasure visible. They are an homage to the inner truth that touches us when we let go – with style, with depth, with heart.
1. Wine Enjoyment & Art – Wine Paintings as Emotional Original Artworks🍷

"In Vino Veritas," they say.
In wine there is truth. Not just because it sometimes makes us braver – but because it softens us. More open. More honest. Towards others, but especially towards ourselves.
A good glass of wine can be like a mirror. Not a hard, cold mirror – but one with warm light, in which you recognize yourself.
Not perfect. But real.
For me, wine is a liquid symbol:
for what touches us, what we feel, but don't always say.
In a world full of pace and to-do lists, it grants us a small pause – like an open door to a quiet room. And it's precisely this atmosphere that I try to capture in my paintings.
2. Wine Paintings in Art Deco Style – Elegance and Femininity 🍷

My first painting on the subject of wine was created over 25 years ago.
At that time, I discovered a photo of a female winemaker in a trade magazine: She stood among vines, with two bottles in her hands – powerful, beautiful, almost divine.
This moment was my starting point.
Since then, women with wine have repeatedly crept into my paintings: sometimes the self-confident connoisseur in a bar, sometimes the elegant hostess, sometimes the quiet dreamer. Each embodies a different facet of female sensuality – always connected to the theme of pleasure.
In my eyes, the wine is not just a prop.
It is a metaphor and a player – a modern grail that promises joie de vivre and depth simultaneously.
3. How My Wine Paintings Are Created – From Photoshoot to Original Artwork 🍷

Many of my works are based on my own photoshoots.
One of the most unforgettable took place in Switzerland – in the Marina Bar Lounge in Lachen, directly on Lake Zurich. The sun slowly set behind the mountains, then came the blue hour – that magical time when light and emotion merge.
The atmosphere was electrifying: velvety red lips, pearl bracelets, delicate fabrics, jazz music in the background. The models moved with that unobtrusive elegance that I love so much.
I remember one scene in particular:
A woman at the counter, alone, but full of presence. Her gaze was alert, not sad – rather sensually pensive.
That's exactly what I later want to make visible on canvas:
These moments where femininity, pleasure, and self-connection become one.
4. Sensual Art: Female Portraits with Wine as a Symbol of Pleasure🍷

In my pictures, two forces meet:
wine – as a symbol of sensuality, depth, temptation –
and the woman – as a mirror of the soul, versatile, proud, full of stories.
Sometimes she is the hostess, sometimes the connoisseur.
Sometimes the one who serves others – with poise and dignity.
And sometimes she is completely with herself, in her own inner space, where a glass of wine becomes a small ceremony.
These roles are not opposites. They are parts of a greater whole:
the female archetypes that live within all of us – regardless of gender.
The moment with the glass of wine becomes a stage where this inner diversity is expressed.
5. In Vino Veritas – The Symbolism of Wine in Painting 🍷

Wine is far more than a drink. In my art, it stands for something deeper – for an inner state, for transformation, for a moment where the earthly and the divine touch. When a woman in my paintings holds a glass of wine, she carries not just a prop, but an ancient symbol in her hands.
Since time immemorial, wine in many cultures has stood for abundance, light, and joy of life – but also for wisdom, maturity, and inner realization. It is a symbol of the soul's ripening process: The grape is harvested, pressed, fermented – only through this alchemical transformation does wine come into being. We, too, transform. We, too, go through phases of concentration, friction, depth – until we can shine.
In my female portraits, wine reflects precisely this archetypal journey: Sometimes the figure embodies the hostess who generously shares joy with an open heart. Sometimes she is the high priestess, lost in silence and depth. Then again, she appears as the divine connoisseur, receiving the moment with all her senses – as if the wine were a light-bearer touching her soul.
This symbolism fascinates me: A glass in hand becomes a vessel for emotion, memory, longing. It's not important whether it's drunk – what matters is the attitude with which it is held.
Wine in my paintings means: I am ready to receive. I am connected. I am fully present.
