"White melody" - a winter's day in St. Moritz

Ekaterina Moré - "White Melody" Acrylbild Wintermotiv einer Frau im Schnee

I was inspired by the beauty and tranquility of winter in St. Moritz when creating my latest work. A woman in a dark blue wool coat, dreamily gazing into the distance and fully savoring the moment. The background is characterized by the wintry Lake St. Moritz and snow-covered fir trees.
I have tried to capture the mood of the surroundings and to choose the colors in such a way that they reflect the feelings and emotions that this place evoked in me. I made sure to only give warm tones to the woman's face and hair to create a contrast with the cold surroundings and to emphasize the warmth of the moment.
The white gloves the woman is wearing are a symbolic element and stand for the purity of the freshly fallen snow and the innocence of the moment.
St. Moritz is a place with a long tradition and history, but I have tried to portray my very personal view of this place. I hope that my painting captures the beauty of winter in St. Moritz and inspires viewers to discover their own connection to this place.
