Are you a person who only pretends to be stylish?
Do you truly care about your well-being, or do you only consider a loveless dwelling to be worthy of being your home?
There have been several experiments where people were shown the homes of strangers. These people were asked to describe the residents – what kind of person lives in this apartment? What do they do, what is their character like, who are their friends, what do they want from life? Do you know that the descriptions given by people who didn't know the resident personally were significantly more accurate than the descriptions their friends gave of them? It's quite astonishing, isn't it?
My home also reveals quite a lot about me. Of course, it doesn't reveal all my secrets, but it openly speaks about quite a few things. Because the place where we live reflects quite well what's going on in our emotional world.
I believe that every visitor would notice that aesthetics and beauty in my living space are incredibly important to me. Fresh flowers, plenty of light, and of course, art, are essential.
In my home, some of my paintings with female motifs hang on the walls. Women drinking coffee and wine, enjoying beautiful views and dreaming. They bring me peace and joy. And awaken memories of wonderful moments in life. They help me focus on beauty, even during times when everything isn't so easy.
Shall we start a small experiment? If you are at home, go to the front door and try to enter your living space as a guest. Try to look at your home through the eyes of a curious stranger.
What kind of person could live here? What do the objects present say about the resident? Does an interesting person live here? Do they love art and culture? Or are they just passing through, not really settled in these rooms?
We all need moments of joy and tranquility. Home should be a place where we recharge our batteries, feel safe and secure. And also inspired. And if this place is unpleasantly designed, chaotic and thoughtless, where should the energy come from?
We create the environment that affects us in return, whether we want it or not. And I believe that art can combine true wonders. Bright colors, positive and life-affirming motifs, aesthetics – all of this can strongly change a person's inner vibration.
When we surround ourselves with beautiful things, our mood changes. If you want to feel more joy and energy, bring more colors and joyful motifs into your lives. It works! I've tested it extensively on myself ;-)
And what about you?
Have you already created an ideal environment for yourself, or are you still on your way?
Or do you think a beautiful home isn't that important?
