My artistic beginnings – A look back at my first magazine article in ArtProfil

Erster Magazinbeitrag über Ekaterina Moré im ArtProfil 2002 – Frauenporträts im Flowismus-Stil und frühe Werke der Künstlerin

Over 20 years ago – in 2002 – my work was first recognized in an art magazine: ArtProfil dedicated a detailed article to me then, focusing on my early female portraits and my artistic vision.

It was a significant moment: for the first time, my works were presented to the public – works that even then carried what is still the common thread of my painting today: colorful femininity, sensual expressiveness, radiant emotions.

The beginning of a vision – my first colorful female portraits

The ArtProfil report was titled "A Homage to Life in Our Time – Ekaterina Moré and Her Prismatic Paintings" – a title that still moves me today. Because even then, I didn't just want to paint – I wanted to make women visible. Their strength. Their tenderness. Their sensuality. Their depth.

My first works were created in my studio in Neuss, with the desire to depict modern femininity not realistically, but stylized, color-intensive, and emotional. The influence of artists like Tamara de Lempicka was palpable – as was my very personal style, which I would call "colorful realism."

The ArtProfil editorial team described my style as "prismatic," influenced by Cloisonism, Pop Art, and post-impressionistic compositions – with clear lines, luminous surfaces, and optimistic imagery.

Looking back with gratitude

When I look back at these beginnings today, I see not only the style that has evolved – but also the clear path that still guides me. My artistic theme has not changed – only my expressiveness has grown.

Then as now, it was (and is) about:

  • the beauty of female energy,

  • the sensual glow of skin and color,

  • the expression of strength through gentleness,

  • and the courage for emotionality.

I sincerely thank my very first collectors who placed their trust in me during this early phase. Their support paved the way for me – and showed me that art can be a bridge: between people, between cultures, between the inner and outer world.

23 years later...

The language of my art has evolved – but the core has remained.
It is still my greatest wish to celebrate women on canvas: not as an ideal, but as an expression of a lived inner truth. As a symbol for what nourishes us: sensuality, beauty, emotion – and the courage to show oneself.
