Rheinische Post - "Jenny Jürgens as a painting for 'Herzwerk'"

Artikel über Jenny Jürgens als Modell für Ekaterina Moré

Under the title “Jenny Jürgens as a Painting for ‘Herzwerk’”, the Rheinische Post reported on my exhibition “Time Travel” at the von Fraunberg art gallery in Düsseldorf. A special work was at the center: the portrait of actress Jenny Jürgens, which I created for the benefit of her foundation "Herzwerk".

The painting shows Jenny Jürgens in front of the snow-covered Düsseldorf Rhine embankment – calm, strong, with gentle determination. A portion of the proceeds from the painting went to the Herzwerk foundation, which has been supporting senior citizens in need for years. This project is personally very important to me, as it shows how art can make social responsibility and empathy visible.

"My female portraits stand for emotion, sensuality, and the irrational – as a counterpart to the rational and functional," I explained in an interview with the Rheinische Post.

In the exhibition “Time Travel”, I combined different facets of the theme Time: women between past and future, between memory and new beginnings. Each figure represents a moment of inner stillness, joy of life, and the power of transformation – motifs that recur in my art.

In addition to the charity project, the exhibition also showcased other female portraits – inspired by urban moments at train stations, airports, and parks. These scenes became symbols of transition: women pausing, dreaming, reflecting.

The von Fraunberg gallery exhibited my works until the end of February. The response was great – many visitors felt emotionally touched and inspired.

With this exhibition, I wanted to show that femininity in art is not just an aesthetic, but a human theme – one that connects heart and soul.
