Women and cats – a magical connection on canvas.
Elegant, independent, sensual – there are hardly two beings so similar as women and cats. In my artistic work, I have been exploring this mysterious connection for years. The renowned magazine “Geliebte Katze” (Beloved Cat) has now dedicated a detailed artist portrait to this topic – with many pictures of my female portraits and a very personal interview.
Why I paint women with cats
In my paintings, cats represent the instinctive, gentle, and at the same time wild. For the free, feminine soul that does not conform but goes its own way. This motif is no coincidence: even in Egyptian mythology, cats were considered companions of female deities – mysterious, watchful, powerful.
Women who appear in my art are not passive or decorative. They are present, strong, and at the same time sensitive – just like the cats at their side. Sometimes cuddly and playful, sometimes proud and watchful. That's what makes this combination so expressive.
Intuition, Sensuality and Self-Confidence
I believe: In a world often dominated by rationality and functionality, many people long for more feeling, connection – and for moments of quiet beauty. This is precisely where my art comes in. With warm colors, soft forms, and a stylized visual language, I bring femininity and sensuality into a new, powerful context.
The women and cats in my paintings embody this delicate balance – between closeness and distance, strength and gentleness, freedom and trust. A harmony that does not have to shout loudly to be seen.
Cats as a symbol of primal female power
Especially today, as life becomes more hectic and louder, many people are rediscovering their love for cats – as quiet companions, as a symbol of self-determination. In my paintings, cats therefore not only serve as a motif but as strong symbols of primal female power.
