What's Up - The Meerbusch Magazine

Zeitschrift Wat is los über Ekaterina Moré

The regional lifestyle magazine "Wat is los? – Das Magazin für Meerbusch" reported extensively on my art project "Dolce Vita in Meerbusch". This project combines art, photography, and joie de vivre – a tribute to the Mediterranean feeling right in the heart of the Lower Rhine region.

I have lived in Meerbusch for many years and have found my creative home here. With Dolce Vita in Meerbusch, I wanted to show how close beauty and inspiration actually are – not in the distance, but in the familiar moments right on your doorstep.

Together with Meerbusch's economic development officer, Heike Reiß, I selected locations that capture the Meerbusch way of life: cozy cafés, vineyards, small boutiques, and Mediterranean restaurants. Photo shoots with inspiring women took place there, which I then used as the basis for my large-format acrylic paintings.

By the end of the year, a series of 15 new paintings were created, showcasing feminine energy, enjoyment, and local elegance in vibrant colors. The project was launched with an exhibition opening in Lank and received a great response in the region.

"I wanted to interpret the sensuality and tranquility of Dolce Vita in my own way – as an invitation to consciously perceive the beauty in everyday life again."

The magazine "Wat is los?" reported on the project. The focus was on the creative atmosphere, the combination of art and photography, and my personal interpretation of femininity and joie de vivre.
