Rheinische Post on Ekaterina Moré – Art Dress Meets Haute Couture

The Rheinische Post reports on an extraordinary art project combining fashion, painting, and photography:
The internationally active fashion designer Lilia Sabantina and the artist Ekaterina Moré transformed a wedding dress into a wearable work of art. The dress, made from primed canvas, served not only as a symbol of female seduction but also as a real, painted canvas – adorned with Ekaterina Moré's characteristic, colorful Eve.

The report, titled "Fashion, Art, and Photography in Three Locations," appeared in the Rheinische Post and documents a creative collaboration of artists from St. Petersburg that transcends classic genre boundaries. The press recognized the elaborate handcraft, the unusual material, and the artistic statement behind the symbolic gown.

From the Easel to Tailoring – Art on a Wedding Dress

For Ekaterina Moré, the project was a special challenge: instead of painting on stretcher frames as usual, she worked with folds, volume, and movement. The canvas was part of a custom-made wedding dress – created by Lilia Sabantina – and demanded entirely new thinking in terms of form, balance, and lines.

"I interpreted my Eve with the apple in the style of Tamara de Lempicka – sensual, strong, proud, and with an aura of temptation and self-determination," describes Moré.

The dress was then staged in a photoshoot with models Irma (Eve) and David (Adam) – amidst vintage cars, bridal fashion, and artistic photography. The scene was captured photographically and presented as an eye-catcher for the exhibition in the gallery Antonia von Fraunberg.

Art Project with an Attitude – Feminine, Sensual, Conscious

The Rheinische Post's coverage clearly shows how consciously this project centers feminine self-confidence – with a twinkle in the eye, but also with depth.
The painted dress stands for a woman who is not afraid of being seen, who understands seduction not as guilt, but as strength. The work will be auctioned for a good cause as part of the "Art Against Addiction" campaign.

Artist Moré uses the medium of fashion here not decoratively, but as a projection surface for female images with soul. Her characteristic painting style – stylized, color-intensive, and symbolic – fully displays its effect even on the moving fabric. Eve's red hair, the apple, the blue blossoms – everything speaks for a well-thought-out visual language with high recognition value.
